We've decided to move into Weeding: Mowing of large fields is interesting but:
- Weeding is an absolutely huge problem (just posted a pic from Justin)
- It can be a world altering project. Solving weeding in organic can make the organic crops compete with conventional - no more feeding herbecides to our kids.
- The market is huge - especially if we can go after many organic crops.
- Organic crop production is doubling every 4 years and accelerating.
- We all beleieve weed vs plant recognition is a solvable problem. Several sensors
In addition, we asked for opinions of class professors and mentors, and the decision was unanimous.
We'll complete the mowing interviews we had setup (in case we ever want to come back to this), but then move to weeding.
Talk about a pivot!

While weeding is definitely a huge problem ... we need to get a better idea on the actual market size. If each of these "huge" farms might only purchase a couple machines ... how much opportunity does that really represent?
